Singapore - Link Research is expanding its operations in Singapore to accommodate growing sales and distribution for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Link’s APAC product portfolio now includes Microwave Radio Communications (MRC) electronic news gathering, portable, inter-city and IP based microwave links; in addition to Link’s own award-winning wireless camera systems encoders for standard definition and high definition broadcast.
MRC is the Vislink Group’s US based developer and manufacturer of wireless communication systems for the broadcast, defence, law enforcement and security markets.
“The Vislink Group has had a growing presence in Asia since 2005,” said Sue Gilks, Link’s General Manager for Asia Pacific. “This change allows us to greatly increase the support we provide to our partners and customers throughout Asia, Australia and New Zealand. By consolidating sales and support operations for Link and MRC, our APAC customers gain easy access to demonstrations, training and comprehensive technical support.”

Vislink Singapore is staffed by a team of sales, engineering and administrative professionals, including Mandarin speaking staff, headed by Sue Gilks. Link provides a 24 hour Technical Support Hotline for all territories in the Pacific Rim time zones, which extends to customers in the Far East, Australasia and the West Coast of America.
As a result of this change, effective 1st January 2009 the services formerly provided by MRC’s product repair depot in Hong Kong will transfer to Vislink Singapore.
