VISLINK appoints Regional Sales Manager for Southern Africa

VISLINK announces the appointment of Mr Steve Thomas, who is joining the company to take up the role of Regional Sales Manager and Senior Officer for Sub-Saharan Africa and is based in Cape Town.

Steve Thomas is joining VISLINK after five years as a successful independent businessman in South Africa and his position with VISLINK builds on a twenty year communications industry track record during which time Steve worked for various organisations including NTL Media Solutions Group, PanAmSat and CBS Television News. Steve has a degree in Marine Electronics and joined the BBC as a graduate engineer.

VISLINK is a £100 million company with expertise in satellite and microwave communications technologies and advanced camera-based surveillance systems. In January this year, VISLINK created four customer-focused business units: VISLINK Law Enforcement and Public Safety, VISLINK News and Entertainment, and VISLINK Marine and Energy, with VISLINK Services spanning all markets.

Steve Thomas will report to Dan McIntyre and will be responsible for sales and business development for VISLINK in sub-Saharan Africa.

VISLINK Services is a leading Professional Services organisation and Total Solutions Integrator, specialising in the provision of Lifecycle Services including Infrastructure Planning, Engineering Design, Integration, Physical Deployment, Maintenance Support and Managed Services of Microwave and Broadband solutions for both wired and wireless network solutions.
