TV Technology’s Prestigious STAR Award Given in Recognition of New Advanced Mobile Gateway
MRC was awarded TV Technology’s prestigious STAR Award for our new Advanced Mobile Gateway at the recent National Association of Broadcasters convention in Las Vegas. The AMG1000 provides secure VPN connectivity between remote ENG/OB vehicle and the broadcast studio via a 3G cellular or Wi-Fi connection. It integrates a full featured Ethernet switch, TCP/IP router and internal cellular amplifier; and works seamlessly with MRC’s MTX5000 and OB5000 transmitters.

The STAR award is designed to celebrate and showcase outstanding technological innovations available to the broadcast industry. Before selecting the AMG1000 a panel of judges, consisting of TV Technology senior editors and columnists, examined the technical applications and overall industry contribution of a variety of products. The AMG1000 received the award for its outstanding contribution towards future of news contribution.
